foyer chandelier in virgin islands

Hammered copper panels evoke the lacy shadows found in a bamboo grove. Four foot diameter by two foot high chandelier. The bottom is a single piece of copper, four feet wide.

Note natural verdigris which enhances the bamboo design. No paint or process can duplicate the beauty of naturally occurring verdigris!

wa`a chandelier in virgin islands

Hammered copper panels capture the beauty, strength, and grace of a traditional Hawaiian sailing canoe. Four foot diameter by two foot high chandelier. The bottom is a single piece of copper, four feet wide.

Even the bolts used in assembling the chandeliers were custom fabricated by Manu and Leilehua for this project.

Captain Kiko gave valuable advice for many canoe-related projects, and allowed many photographs of his wa`a.
